I worked on the Taco Monster brand beginning in late 2019, helping bring their character “Chomp” to life as a central part of the identity.
Problem:
The brand needed a strong, flexible visual system that could go beyond a traditional logo—something that could carry personality across menus, marketing, and social content.
My Solution:
I designed “Chomp” as more than a logo—he became the mascot, spokesperson, and core visual voice of the brand. I built a flexible illustration system that allowed the character to evolve across poses, expressions, and use cases.
This opened the door for a growing “Taco Monster universe,” where the character could support messaging, humour, and ongoing content creation.
Result:
The brand became highly expressive and memorable, with a character-driven identity that continues to expand across applications. It’s a strong example of how far a brand can go when given room to evolve.
