Dog + Cat Hospital
A few years ago… two and a half, to be exact, we designed a logo for our friends over at the Dog and Cat Hospital. Dr. Volk had been our vet for years, so it was natural. You may have seen the neon shining in the Clearview market. The logo is a cute little animal face – carefully designed to only reflect “animal” – neither cat nor dog, only happy and healthy.

Now, I think it’s worth noting that we had a pet emergency over the holidays, and we were treated to some of the most amazing pet-saving service one could ever imagine. I really can’t say enough about the team at the Dog + Cat Hospital. I suppose the most telling thing is, that our dog is alive and we are very happy, which is a great Christmas blessing to us.

One of the great things about this business is being able meet people and experience their highs and lows, see the things people do that hapless designers can’t– like exploratory surgery on a dog–and hopefully learn from it. Quite frankly, I was totally blown away by Drs Volk and Wicks, and the team at the D+C. So what’s the moral of this story? Obviously I’m secretly plugging the logo work, but in the end, I just want to give mad props, high fives and a grand thank you to the kind folks who helped my dog survive.
