Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery

Downtown Rosie Red

2012 Logo Refresh

Once in a while a designer has an opportunity to be a part of something grand in their community. Being a part of the re-branding of the Red Deer & District Museum & Archives – now named the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery – was one of those opportunities for us.

As a centre for culture in Central Alberta, the museum has offered diverse programs for years and we had the opportunity to delve into their character and create a logo that represents who they are, and who they will be. The wagon wheel is a symbol of our prairie past, which the collection of artifacts in the museum wonderfully represents. The family in the centre represents the education, learning and diverse programs available to the community. The eye is a look to our future, creative exhibits of new art challenges and entertains us.

The Museum is a big part of our day on any given week, and we have refreshed this brand – the last being in 2012 – and our work encompasses web design, print, exhibit design and exhibit graphics.
